Master’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics with a good academic record or equivalent with a valid score in GATE or CSIR/UGC-NET (JRF/LS)/NBHM/INSPIRE/JEST or equivalent qualification tenable for the current year in the relevant area.
Master’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology and Master of Science (Research) with a good academic record.
Candidates who have qualified for the award of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Master’s degree in Sciences (entry through JAM) from any Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) with an exceptionally good academic record in an eligible discipline will be considered for direct admission to Ph.D., provided he/she has a minimum CGPA of 8/10.
Candidates with 5-year integrated BS+MS degree from any CFTIs. Candidates with an integrated Master's/Dual Degree in Engineering/Technology from any university/institute.

Requirement of the PhD Program
The PhD Program offered by the department requires the following
Original Research - The student should write an original doctoral thesis, and that should significantly contribute to the respective research field.
Publications - Minimum one publication is required in good-quality international journals of the respective field
Comprehensive-Viva Exam - The student must clear the comprehensive viva exam before 18 months from the date of registration for PhD
Duration - 4 to 5 Years
